Había una época en la cual los recursos para las personas experimentando violencia doméstica eran escasos y distantes.

Afortunadamente, ese ya no es el caso. Hay muchas organizaciones con la misma misión central de proporcionar recursos y herramientas para capacitar a los sobrevivientes para vivir una vida libre de violencia. MOCSA

The Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual exists to improve the lives of those impacted by sexual assault and abuse, and to prevent sexual violence in our community. Without support and help, the trauma of sexual violence can stay with victims for a lifetime. «We do everything we can to prevent these crimes from happening in the first place, and to offer support, healing, and hope when they do occur. We help victims become survivors.»

Rainn

Rainn is the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization. RAINN created and operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline in partnership with more than 1,000 local sexual assault service providers across the country.  RAINN also carries out programs to prevent sexual violence, help victims, and ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice.

Proyecto contra la violencia de Kansas City (LGBTQ)

KCAVP is a nonprofit corporation committed to providing domestic violence, sexual assault, and hate crimes advocacy and education to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community.

Currently, they are the only LGBTQ-specific domestic violence or sexual assault services in Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, or Iowa. KCAVP was created to address this gap by providing support and services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender queer and questioning victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and hate violence in the region, with a home base in the Kansas City area and services throughout Missouri and Kansas.

loveisrespect’s purpose is to engage, educate and empower youth to prevent and end abusive relationships. loveisrespect has an array of online educational resources catered to young people. loveisrespect strives to be a safe, inclusive space for young people to access information and get help in an environment that is designed specifically for them. Their website provides comprehensive education on healthy, unhealthy and abusive dating relationships and behaviors.
